I think if you tried to count the number of people that have heard Jim Quick say this quote… you would probably be in the tens of thousands of times… If you counted 1 for every time each person heard him say it…. You would probably be in the hundreds of thousands.
Let’s be conservative and say he has averaged 250 shows a year the last 8+ years of singing this song at every one of those performances…. and then add the number of times this song played at SOS the year King Tyrone’s first album came out. Add the number of times this song has played at the clubs in just North Myrtle Beach alone……. How many times would it be that a set of ears have heard this quote? Think about the number of people that were present each time it was said… WOW! That has some reach!
